Property and debt recovery specialist Setfords Solicitors has secured a multi-million-pound investment from the Business Growth Fund (BGF).

The Guildford-based firm – which also offers landlord and tenant, asset finance and commercial property services – will invest the funding in digital marketing, technology enhancements and additional legal consultants.

This latest investment follows a 38% increase in the number of consultants at Setfords over the past 12 months.

Chris Setford, CEO of Setfords Solicitors, said: “After a terrific year for the firm, interest from lawyers in the Setfords way of working has never been greater and this investment will allow us to grow at the rate required to meet demand.

“Dozens of other lawyers have expressed an interest in joining us and we’re very excited about the growth we expect to experience working with the BGF.”

Founded in 2006, Setfords Solicitors claims to be the first business in the UK to extend the consultancy network model across all major areas of law.

The nationwide firm now boasts more than 160 consultant lawyers and a 60-strong infrastructure team based at its head office.
