Judges announced for the Loan Talk Secured Loans Awards 2015

Judges announced for the Loan Talk Secured Loans Awards 2015

Loan Talk is proud to announce this year’s judging panel that will be responsible for deciding the winners of the 2015 Loan Talk Secured Loans Awards…

Praised for following a transparent, fair and efficient judging process, Loan Talk has further enhanced the procedure with both a longlist and shortlist judging panel.

The two shortlist judging panels, one made up of brokers judging the lender categories, and one made up of lenders judging the broker categories, have been chosen because of their extensive experience in the second charge mortgage market and their direct knowledge of the firms and people it comprises.

On the 9th November, the longlist panel of 20, which includes all of those on the shortlist panel, will whittle down the top 10 firms or individuals in each of the 12 award categories to a shortlist of five.

The shortlist judges will then meet on the 2nd December to decide the winners and highly commended in each category, after much deliberation and taking the nominees’ supporting submissions into account.

Where a category can be won by either a broker or a lender, both panels will vote, and a majority decision will be taken.

Last year’s Outstanding Contribution to the Secured Loans Industry Award winner, Simon Stern, who was recently announced as the Chairman of both judging panels and the host of this year’s awards, will have the deciding vote if there is a draw in any category but will abstain from the main vote itself.
