Fluent Money Group has appointed Garry Taylor (pictured above) as its new chief technology officer.

Garry – who has been at Fluent since its inception – will now manage the next stages of development of the group’s IT system.

Prior to joining Fluent, Garry worked with the group’s founding directors at Loanmakers from 2006 to 2008.

He had previously served as a lecturer, teaching programming and Linux OS courses to adult learners and other lecturers.

Tim Wheeldon, COO at Fluent Money, said Garry had been instrumental in designing and implementing much of its IT infrastructure since it launched.

“The service we offer centres around our proposition and the quality and enthusiasm of our human team.

“However, behind that service has been an IT structure that has grown to accommodate every demand we have placed on it.”

Garry added that he was excited to be in a position to make some serious progress with the team and the systems it produces.

“Fluent Money and its adviser-facing division Fluent for Advisers are constantly seeking to improve their proposition to customers.

“My job is to ensure that our people, our partners and their customers have a seamless and fully functional on and offline service, which simply makes their lives easier and complements the service we offer.

“I am looking forward to the challenge.”
